Schedule Service

Our service customer care manager, Cheryl Friedman, talks about what to do when your check engine light comes on in your Subaru.

Most Common Reason Your Check Engine Light is On

The most common reason your Subaru's check engine light comes on is because the gas cap is not properly closed. To fix it, remove the gas cap and then put it back on, tightening it until it clicks. It may take a few drives before your Subaru recognizes the fix and the check engine light turns off.

What to Do if Your Subaru's Check Engine Light is On?

However, if your check engine light is blinking or if the gas cap trick doesn't resolve the problem, bring your Subaru to the Sommer's Subaru service center in Mequon. We are Wisconsin's largest Subaru dealership, conveniently located near Milwaukee.
