Is the Subaru Ascent Good for Winter Driving?
The 2023 Subaru Ascent has been redesigned for the model year, built from the ground up with your comfort in mind. Seating up to eight, the new Subaru Ascent brings spaciousness and convenience for your traveling party, but is the Subaru Ascent good for winter driving? Sommer’s Subaru is here to help Wisconsin drivers with the best winter features in the 2023 Subaru Ascent.
Winter-Ready Features in the 2023 Subaru Ascent
The 2023 Subaru Ascent brings plenty of winter-focused features and upgrades to help you tackle inclement weather and freezing temperatures. While the 2022 Ascent had great all-weather performance, the 2023 model brings further improvements for severe weather, namely in the Onyx Edition, Limited and Touring trim levels.
These models boast the newly-added dual-function X-Mode with Hill Descent Control. Dual-function X-Mode capabilities include Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings to help optimize all-wheel-drive during severe weather encounters. In other words, if you find yourself in a muddy or snowy situation, the 2023 Subaru Ascent is ready to assist.
Though the Onyx Edition, Limited and Touring trims host the premier winter-ready feature, all Ascent models bring Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance. The models that do not feature dual-function X-Mode have standard X-Mode, for peace of mind on all trim levels.
For a closer look at each trim level of the redesigned 2023 Subaru Ascent, check out the 2023 Subaru Ascent Trim Level Comparison on our Sommer’s Subaru blog.
